Summary
A group show that will highlight and unpack the impact of Ai in the art world today.
Art is a process of revision and fluctuation. The cycle of its production is an ebb and flow of giving and taking; a paint stroke here, a vacant space there. The Revisions in Flux exhibition (18th – 23rd December) addresses the way we – as artists, must navigate to continue producing relevant artwork.
Generative art has moved the boundaries in such a profound way that all artists have to adapt, find new avenues, or revert to the basic use of materials to survive. Are we going to see a new wave of this style of creativity from the industry cement itself as a permanent fixture? Or are we going down a rabbit hole of creative entropy in allowing machines to enable our creative shortcomings?
The concept remains the same and aims to generate a logical and constant artistic output, showcasing art that remains constant despite an industry that is always shifting, morphing, and endlessly evolving. The shadow of the artificial is breathing down our necks with its exponential growth patterns.
This evolution occurs as participants attempt to change and adapt to this new and somewhat frightening issue, seeking new and exciting ways to reveal their artistic endeavours. These are revisions in flux.
What To Expect
At The Lily Selavie Gallery, we are ahead of the creative curve.
Our events build relationships with artists directly, to nurture and develop best practices – displaying their work to a wider audience of collectors and art lovers.
There is nothing better than having your artwork displayed in a physical gallery, nor to enjoy first-hand reactions and dialogue. We are here to facilitate this for you in our beautiful gallery space in Southeast London, allowing you to show your artwork and gain valuable experience as an artist.
We display your work and invite contacts from our extensive list of worldwide art collectors and art critics, allowing you, the artist, to make the connections and sell your work directly. If this is difficult for you, we offer a service where we will speak to the buyers on your behalf and secure a fair price for your work. We charge an industry-average commission of 30% for this service. This is applied on top of your own price, so please bear this in mind when pricing your work.
We strive to gather groups of amazing artists and art critics at our private views, to mingle and give their thoughts on a given piece. Further, we offer a written overall show critique, to be provided for the artists on display to reproduce as they wish for their own profiles.
Submitting your artwork for this exciting exhibition is free, so send an email using the below:
We will consider all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, prints, textiles, and illustrations.
AI art will be considered if it is exhibited as a framed printed image. Digital art is also accepted.
