• We’re now in the final week of submissions for ‘Sequitur (2nd Interaction)’ – our inaugural exhibition at Lily Selavie. This event offers a unique opportunity to participate in a show dedicated to truth and quality, constant amidst the evolving art industry. Sequitur – a concept rooted in continuity and logical conclusion – is the anticipated follow-up to our original groundbreaking exhibition.

We invite you to contribute your work and be a part of our artistic statement.

The current art landscape is increasingly artist-centric, giving creators greater autonomy over their careers. While digital platforms offer reach, exhibiting your work in a physical space provides experience, fostering engagement and meaningful dialogue. We are committed to supporting this essential connection. Selected artists will present their pieces in our beautiful South East London gallery, gaining visibility among our burgeoning network.

This exhibition is designed to elevate your profile. The private view on November 20th will be attended by collectors and critics, creating a valuable environment for networking and direct sales. Further, participating artists will receive a written critique of the show for their own portfolios. We believe in empowering the artist, which is why you retain control over your sales and connections, with our optional support available if needed.

We warmly encourage submissions across a range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital, and textiles. Proposing your artwork is completely free, ensuring accessibility for all artists.

    Final Deadline

Please remember! The final, firm deadline is 10:00 AM on Monday, November 10th, 2025. We look forward to receiving your work and sharing your artistic vision with our audience.

    Sequitur

From the Latin ‘to follow’ – represents a logical conclusion regarding the current state or historical trajectory of the art industry.

    Date: 20 Nov – 25 Nov, 2025

This show is the long-awaited second iteration; the first groundbreaking art exhibition (Sequitur 1st Interaction) was held at our previous gallery, The Mashed Potato Gallery in Deptford, many years ago.

This concept aims to generate a logical and constant artistic output, showcasing art that remains constant despite an industry that is always shifting, morphing, and endlessly evolving. This evolution occurs as participants attempt to change and adapt to common issues, seeking new and exciting ways to reveal their artistic endeavours.

The market has shifted, and the industry has changed. It has now become much more artist-centric, returning the power to the artist. The ability to advertise and share artwork via social media has produced new and exciting artists who forge their own paths without the grandiose, self-centred art world kingpins deciding which artists will earn them the most money.

At The Lily Selavie Gallery, we are ahead of this creative curve, forging relationships with artists to support and develop their art practice and display their work to a wider audience of collectors and art lovers.

However, there is nothing better than having your artwork displayed in a physical gallery, enjoying first-hand reactions and dialogue. We are here to facilitate this for you in our beautiful gallery space in South East London, allowing you to show your artwork and gain valuable experience as an artist.

We display your work and invite contacts from our extensive list of worldwide art collectors and art critics, allowing you, the artist, to make the connections and sell your work directly. If this is difficult for you, we offer a service where we will speak to the buyers on your behalf and secure a fair price for your work. We charge an industry-average commission of 30% for this service. This will be applied on top of your own price, so please bear this in mind when pricing your work.

We will also have in attendance an amazing group of major artists and art critics at the show who will be mingling and discussing their views with the artists at the private view. Furthermore, a written overall show critique will be provided for the artists on display to reproduce as they wish for their own profiles.

Submitting your artwork for this exciting exhibition is free, so send an email using the link below.

We will consider all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, prints, textiles, and illustrations. AI art will be considered if it is exhibited as a framed printed image. Digital art is also accepted.

We will always accept submissions, as well as let you know the next suitable show for you and your work.

    Do you accept donations?

We support local charities at different times, depending on the type of charity we’re approached by. One such charity is:

Do you serve food and drink?

Yes, but only at private views for now.

We’re planning to open a coffee shop and wine bar soon though, so keep an eye out for Ginger’s Coffee Shop & Wine Bar.

The food hall downstairs is pet friendly as are we in the gallery (we have dogs ourselves). We always welcome friendly dogs, although we reserve the right to refuse if necessary.
